Eshaan Jayalath
Information Technology Specialist

Eshaan Jayalath has been in the information technology industry for over 23 years, managing overall IT responsibilities and leading teams of IT professionals in organizations around the world.

As the information technology specialist at MerchantAdvantage, Eshaan drives the software development life cycle, supporting and maintaining all IT systems to ensure they function securely and provide optimal performance to meet the company’s business requirements and needs.

Prior to joining MerchantAdvantage, Eshaan was an operations consultant for nearly 10 years for the National Australia Bank (NAB) and the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), two major international banks in Australia.  He was responsible for implementing production database services and platforms and managing and administrating more than 2,500 Microsoft SQL server GEO Clusters as a subject matter expert (SME) at both banks. Additionally, Eshaan served on both banks’ review boards for approvals of all production changes and releases.

Having obtained IT certifications from Microsoft, Oracle, and ITIL, he has earned a reputation for implementing secure and reliable change management processes and procedures that are required by financial establishments around the world to maintain adequate compliance.

Throughout his career, Eshaan has been engaged in the software development lifecycle using the latest technologies such as Microsoft .NET Framework, Oracle, & MS SQL through his involvement in system design, modeling and development. He has also been directly involved in the software development of human resources, payroll and time management systems for Shell Gas, International Airlines and  telecommunication companies. Additionally, he has developed and implemented over 100-plus production application systems around the world.

Eshaan was the former head of IT for Hirdaramani Group of companies for over 6 years, which is the largest garment manufacturing company in Sri Lanka.  In this capacity, he managed all the executive IT employees and was responsible of all the IT functions within the group, which consisted of 12 international companies.

Eshaan has obtained IT credentials and certifications such as MCITP, MCTS, MCP, ITIL, MACS, OCP, MBCS and IDPM-(London).

Michael Lambert
Founder

Michael is an entrepreneurial executive with a strong focus on technology with skill sets in software and process design as well as a strong understanding of hardware architecture.

Since its inception, MerchantAdvantage has become a leader in product feed tools and analytical reporting, and has also introduced additional marketing tools to the online retailers. The product lines now interface to a vast majority of available channels in the United States and Europe as well as most eCommerce storefront software providers. As the founder of MerchantAdvantage and the creator of Channel Management, Michael has been responsible for building the technologies from client application design to the server side software and hosting architecture.

Michael has leveraged his technology skills and previous experience acquired as the CEO of The ComputerCenter, servicing hundreds of online retail merchants, to conceptualize and create the MerchantAdvantage software platform. The details for the Channel Management product line came from his history with developing eCommerce software for online retailers and working with those retailers to solve everyday technology challenges. After a series of mergers and acquisitions, Michael negotiated the sale of The ComputerCenter to a larger regional hosting firm.

Michael has managed development teams creating software solutions for Carnival Corporation, Microsoft Real Estate and Finance, Citizens Bank, Metro Dade Police department, the U.S. Secret Service and Vantage Hospitality.

Michael attended Florida State University, University of Miami and various technology institutes, and has taught technology classes in local colleges as well as abroad.

Tamara Walters
Vice President of Operations & Sales

Tamara Walters brings more than 20 years of management experience to her position at MerchantAdvantage. Throughout her career, Tamara has excelled in leadership roles in business development, marketing, strategic planning, and operations management and has a proven ability to identify, build, motivate, and manage highly successful teams. Her involvement in a variety of industries has enabled her to contribute to the strategic direction of numerous companies and achieve targeted goals in dynamic and complex business environments.

Tamara joined MerchantAdvantage in 2006 just prior to their national launch where she established and implemented departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures. She assumed responsibility and oversight for business operations, human resources, customer and technical support, business development, billing/collections, and marketing. Tamara has a solid record of building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with employees, customers, and vendors alike, using a pragmatic approach to getting the required results. 

Previously, Tamara was operations manager for New Century Broadcasting which produced long form radio programming for national syndication. While there, she ultimately executive produced several series. In her post as head of sales for THE BOX Worldwide, Tamara was responsible for formulating business strategies that led to the successful cultivation of a brand new revenue stream that she grew to over $5 million within the first two years of her tenure with the company, which was subsequently acquired by Viacom.  As the vice president of marketing for MyCity.com, an online local content aggregator, Tamara oversaw all facets of the development and roll out of the company’s national advertising launch which included local and national print, television, radio and online campaigns.  Tamara also served as vice president of marketing for an innovative health benefits program for the under- and non-insured markets in Panama, where she played a key role in crafting the company’s business model.

Tamara studied business law and marketing at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
