What we give you.
MerchantAdvantage provides a tool to empower its users with control over their data. Since the merchant controls their data fed to the Pay-Per-Click, the merchant controls their “Per-Click cost”. It’s your data; let us help you control it!

What you give us.
For MerchantAdvantage to work, a customer will import their products into the MerchantAdvantage database. When the customer imports they will map the source spreadsheet file being imported to the target MerchantAdvantage Database with the “MAmapper” tool within the application as shown here.

The MerchantAdvantage user will also need the requested feed account information so MerchantAdvantage is able to send a real feed as soon as possible. The sooner MerchantAdvantage has the necessary “deliverables”, the sooner MerchantAdvantage will be able to help your data “feed” the right way.

Digital Catalog:
Due to the fact that you must have access to a digital copy of your catalog for importing purposes, here are some possible locations of the catalog. If you encounter an issue regarding your product file, contact your IT Department. The required File is a Spreadsheet or xml. The spread sheet may be In XLS CSV or TXT format.

How to get your digital catalog:
Yahoo store:
If you have a Yahoo shopping cart, Yahoo provides a publicly available xml file with your product information. The user must enable this file within the Yahoo back office under the Promote> Shopping cart export: Available through Shopping cart back office. It may be called: a product export, catalog report, Inventory report. You will most likely find it in the help area of your cart.
SQL / DB export:
If you have SQL or another Database application, it is possible to export a product table, if it exists. Consult the manufacturer documentation regarding export options. You may also use a previous feed file with current information. As long as you create an accurate import header, the data will import to the correct field within the MerchantAdvantage database. Requested feed Account Information:
You must also have FTP account information for the requested channel feeds. Username, password, FTP location, FTP folder, required filename, and requested format. Please Remember your data feed username and password is not always the same as the login to the site. How do I get my feed account information? This can be found by logging into the back office of your account and selecting the “feed setting” or “FTP setting” link.( all back office’s are different ). It should have your feed credentials information posted.
