Following is a brief overview of the NEW Chanalytics feature recently added to MerchantAdvatange Channel Management. This summary describes basic functionalities only. To enable Chanalytics, the merchant should click the Chanalytics box from within the particular channel in which they wish to do market tracking. By clicking this box, all future feeds to this channel will include additional tracking codes within the product URL field. That additional information will be tracked using the Java Script placed on the Products page, and the Invoice/Thank You page within the merchant shopping cart.
As the information accumulates (updates occur every 15 - 30 minutes), the merchant may view their statistics by clicking on the Reports Menu and selecting Chanalytics. This action will launch the Chanalytics report interface. Within this interface are choices which will enable the merchant to customize the report to their desired specifications.
The merchant may elect to include one or all Channels, Storefronts, Categories, or Products by using the dropdown lists next to each prompt. If the merchant wishes to produce an overview report, they may wish to limit which attributes are presented on the report. For example, the merchant may wish to see information on Storefronts and Channels only, but no detail on Categories or Products. To achieve this, the merchant must un-check the box corresponding to the information they do NOT wish to include in the report.
The Priority dropdown list is used to select the order of importance of the data for the purposes of a report. So, a merchant may wish to see one Channel and all Storefronts within that channel. To achieve this, the merchant would select Priority 1 for Channels and Priority 2 for Storefronts. However, if the merchant wishes to see how one product performed on various Storefronts and Channels, they might select a Product and place the dropdown list to Priority 1, then the Storefront to Priority 2, then the Channel to Priority 3. In this way, the merchant would see one Product’s performance on each Storefront and each Channel side by side, to easily evaluate a performance comparison.
Lastly, the merchant may select to simply view the data, or send the data to a MS Excel spreadsheet for projections and data manipulation. Please note that the “cost” figures used are whatever figures are provided for the catalog import into MerchantAdvantage Channel Management. As the report information is available within 30 minutes of transactions and click costs are not typically known until end of month, click costs are estimated. Click costs may be configured per product, and the estimated product click cost will be used across all channels as an average click cost. Reports may be printed or sent to Excel for further manipulation or adjustments.
